Car Maintenance Log ("the app", also shown as CarLog in the app) is made by Solvra Studio. It is built to keep your vehicle service history private. This policy explains what the app stores and where.
What the app stores
- Vehicles you add (nickname, make, model, mileage, service intervals and what you choose to track).
- Service visits you log (dates, mileage, costs, notes, receipt photos and who did the work).
- Documents you attach (insurance, registration, inspection papers) and their expiry dates.
- App preferences (units, reminders, appearance) and whether CarLog Pro is active on your Apple Account.
Where it is stored
On your iPhone or iPad, and — if you are signed in to iCloud — in your own private iCloud database so your garage syncs between your Apple devices. Solvra Studio cannot read your iCloud data. There is no CarLog account and no Solvra server holding your service book.
Vehicle lookup
If you use optional VIN or plate lookup, the app sends only the identifier you enter to the lookup provider to fetch basic vehicle details. That request does not include your service history.
Backups and export
If you export a PDF, CSV or full backup, you choose where to save or share the file (for example Files, Google Drive or email). That destination's privacy policy applies to the copy you store there.
Analytics and tracking
The app does not include advertising or third-party analytics, does not track you across apps or websites, and does not use your location for features. Mileage and reminders are based on what you enter.
Purchases
CarLog Pro is purchased through Apple. Payment details are handled by Apple; we only learn from the App Store whether Pro is active on your Apple Account.
Notifications
If you turn on service reminders, they are scheduled on your device from your own schedule. No reminder content is sent to us.
Deleting your data
Settings → Erase all data removes your vehicles, visits and documents from your devices and iCloud. Deleting the app removes local data; you can also remove iCloud data in your device's iCloud settings.
Children
The app does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
