Color Analysis ("we", "our", "us") respects your privacy. This policy explains what information the Color Analysis app processes, how it is used, and what choices you have.
We process information to:
What face data we collect. When you request a color season analysis, the app collects the selfie you take or select, and — if you choose to provide one — a photo of your inner wrist used as an undertone reference. On your device, the app measures colors from specific regions of the photo (skin, hair, eyes) to produce undertone, depth, contrast, and chroma readings.
What we do not do. We do not create, derive, or store a faceprint, face template, face geometry map, or any other biometric identifier. The app does not perform face recognition, face matching, or identification of any kind, and cannot be used to identify you from your photo. Apple's Vision framework is used only to locate facial regions so that color can be sampled from the correct areas of the image.
Who your face data is shared with. To determine your season, your selfie and your optional wrist photo are transmitted to OpenAI, which provides the vision model that produces the analysis. The request is sent through our own Firebase Cloud Function (Google Cloud, us-central1) so that our OpenAI API key is never present in the app. No other third party receives these photos. We ask for your explicit permission in the app before any photo is sent, and you can decline; if you decline, no photo is sent and you are asked again the next time you start an analysis.
Where your face data is stored. Your photos are stored on your device. Our servers do not store your photos at any point — the Cloud Function holds the image in memory only for the duration of the request and writes nothing to storage. The only data we keep on our servers is a count of how many analysis requests have been made, tied to an anonymous identifier, used to enforce usage limits.
How long face data is retained. On your device, until you delete the analysis or the app. On our servers, not at all. At OpenAI, images sent through the API may be retained for up to 30 days for abuse monitoring and are then deleted; they are not used to train OpenAI's models.
How to delete your face data. You can delete your saved analysis and the associated photo at any time from the app's Profile screen, which removes the image from your device. Uninstalling the app also removes it. Because we store no photos on our servers, there is nothing further for us to delete.
Color scanning. When you scan a garment or object, the app measures its colors on your device. To improve accuracy, the photo is also sent to OpenAI through the same secure relay for a refined color reading; if that step is unavailable, the app falls back to the on-device measurement alone. These photos are likewise not stored on our servers. Studio rendering, wardrobe data, and your saved scan history are processed and kept on your device.
Analysis results, palettes, and wardrobe items you save remain on your device unless you delete them. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your photos for advertising.

These providers process data under their own privacy terms. We only use providers whose terms require them to protect your data to a standard equivalent to the one described in this policy, and to process it solely to deliver the service we have asked them to perform.
All payments are processed by Apple through the App Store. We do not collect or store your payment card details.
If you enable reminders, notification preferences are stored to deliver scheduled local notifications on your device.
We do not sell or rent personal information. We share data only with service providers that help us run app features, or when required by law.
Color Analysis is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
